HBA Gumbo Cookoff
Team Information
- All teams will cook gumbo outside under a tented area and can arrive starting at 9 a.m.
- Teams will be provided 2 tables and 4 chairs.
- Teams must bring all of their own equipment and ingredients, including a burner, pots, knives, cutting boards, etc.
- Teams should prepare enough gumbo for one full-sized bowl for judges and 60+ small samples for event attendees.
- Gumbo must be ready by 12:30 p.m.
The HBA will provide all bowls, spoons and rice for tasting. Judges will score the gumbos based on presentation, originality and taste. Gumbo cookoff attendees will also be able to vote for the People’s Choice Award.

If your company is interested in participating in the HBA Gumbo Cookoff, please complete the registration form below. The entry fee of $250 includes a team of five people.
Once your team is registered, the HBA can send you an invoice or your team can pay through the member registration portal.
