What is your favorite thing about being an HBA member?
My favorite thing about being an HBA GBR member is meeting so many individuals that are passionate about their trade. Coming from a finance background I am limited on construction knowledge, yet whenever I attend an event and meet other members they are extremely welcoming and eager to teach me about their work. Whether I am speaking to a member about supply & quality control, learning about post tension for slabs or even the hot trendy interior design items, being part of the HBA GBR is simply FUN!
When you sit down at a bar, what are you ordering?
Woodford Reserve Bourbon.
What has been your favorite HBA|GBR event? Why?
The Tastemakers Tour. From the beginning to the end, this was a fantastic event. First, we began at @Highland for registration, then hoped on a limo bus and visited several top tier custom homes in the Baton Rouge market. The atmosphere was exciting and the builders were thrilled to show off their creations. Did I mention the food was amazing!
What is one industry-related thing you learned in the past month?
While working with Acadian Home Theater and Automation (Andy Wells) on the installation of my outdoor TV, I experienced first hand just how quickly technology updates and the importance of working with a local company for these specialized items. Exemplary customer service is important in every industry, yet vital when purchasing luxury items. Thank you Acadian for going above and beyond.
What was your first job?
My first job in high school cutting grass in the neighborhood.
