Parade Developer Agreement

THAT THE HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION OF GREATER BATON ROUGE, hereinafter referred to as the “Association,” and

hereinafter “Developer,” for their mutual benefit of the homebuilding industry in the Greater Baton Rouge Area, do hereby agree to the terms and conditions as follows (hereinafter “Agreement”):

 

ASSOCIATION AGREES AND OBLIGATES ITSELF TO THE FOLLOWING:

 

·         Association agrees to lend all its resources, including time, talents, and efforts to promote the 2023 Parade of Homes.

·         To furnish each Developer with the following signage:

o    Directional and/or parking signage for development

o    Signage marking development as an official Parade of Homes entry

·         Organize, arrange, and schedule media advertising to promote to its fullest extent the 2023 Parade of Homes.

·         Provide all necessary promotional materials and literature for the Parade of Homes for distribution to the visiting public.

·         Produce a standard development profile on the official Parade website in which development will be featured on one full page.

·         Conduct social media advertising campaign during which Parade entries will be featured.

 

DEVELOPER AGREES AND OBLIGATES THEMSELF TO THE FOLLOWING:

 

·         Follow and abide by the terms of the Agreement as set forth and subject him/herself to the governing power of the Association, including but not limited to the levying of fines and/or penalties.

·         Be a Builder/Associate member in good standing with the Association.

·         Pay the required entry fee(s) for each house entered in the Parade of Homes by the deadline below or be subject to a fine of $50 per 15 days delinquent.

·         Abide by the decisions made by the Parade of Homes Working Group or Staff.

·         Supply renderings and/or high-resolution photos of the Parade development to be published on the official Parade website by the deadline below. The Association can refer rendering/photography resources upon request.

·         It will be the responsibility of the Developer to educate him/herself on Parade guidelines.

·         It will be the responsibility of the Developer to erect all directional signs/flags and coordinate placement of signage within the development.

 

DEADLINES

 

·         February 7, 2023 – EARLY BIRD DEADLINE

o    Developer Agreement signed by Developer by this date to receive early bird pricing of $1,500

o    Submit latitude and longitude coordinates of Parade development location with Agreement

o    Entry Options Include: Land Only – Development under Construction; Completed Development with new construction (minimum two parade home entries; and, Established development with new filing (minimum two parade home entries).

·         March 28, 2023 – FINAL DEADLINE

o    Developer Agreement signed by Developer by this date

o    Entry Fee is $1,750, paid/mailed by this date

o    Submit latitude and longitude coordinates of Parade development location with Agreement

o    Entry Options Include: Land Only – Development under Construction; Completed Development with new construction (minimum two parade home entries; and, Established development with new filing (minimum two parade home entries).

o    Development Entry Form for each Parade development completed and submitted

·         March 28, 2023 – Development Renderings and/or High-Resolution Photos Due

·         May 25, 2023 (OPTIONAL) – Virtual 3D Tour/Video/Photo Slideshow – please submit if you have one created. The Association will use in Virtual Parade promotions after the Parade of Homes weekends.

 

SIGNAGE

 

·         The signage provided to the Developer by the Association pursuant to the Agreement shall be prominently displayed in the front entrance of Parade development(s).

·         Developer is responsible for placing and gathering signage immediately prior to and after Parade.

·         Developer must have all Parade signage in one accessible place for the Association to pick up on May 1 and May 2, 2023. If Developer cannot meet this requirement, he/she must return all Parade signage to the Association office by Friday, May 5, 2023.

 

MARKETING/ADVERTISING

·         Developer MUST use Parade of Homes branding and the Parade of Homes official logo, including the Presenting Sponsor. These will be provided to the marketing contact listed on the entry form.

 

MISCELLANEOUS

 

·         INDEMNITY. Developer agrees, to the fullest extent provided by law, to indemnify and hold harmless the Home Builders Association of Greater Baton Rouge from any claim, demand, suit, right or cause of action by any person, firm or corporation for any and all damages, economic loss, property damage, bodily injury, mental anguish, and/or any other loss arising from or related to any viewing of the entry/above-described development and/or the development’s inclusion in Parade of Homes. Said indemnification shall include, but is not limited to, reasonable attorney’s fees, expert witness fees and all costs of defense.

1.     Development Agreement filled out and signed (emailed or delivered)

2.     Coordinates of Parade development location (submitted electronically)

3.     Development Entry Form filled out completely for each development (submitted electronically)

4.     Applicable entry fees accompanying each entry (paid by credit card online or check)
